Dear Family and Friends,
On behalf of The Caleb Tate Fuller Foundation, we are excited to announce plans for the 2011 “Forget-Me-Knot” programming. Our traditional “Forget-Me-Knot Walk” will be replaced with a group of “Forget-Me-Knot” Ambassadors partnering with other reputable charitable foundations in memory of Caleb through service to children. On May 7th, we will walk in The Cancer Free Kid’s, “Butterfly Walk” and host a Bid & Buy at this event. 100% of these proceeds will be given for cancer and hematology research done at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Many involved with this walk knew Caleb during his cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital. Then, on May 13th, the “Forget-Me-Knot” Ambassadors will be walking in the American Cancer Society’s, “Relay for Life”. There, we will also be providing inflatable rides and operating a concession stand with all proceeds from this event being given to the American Cancer Society. Proceeds from this annual “Forget-Me-Knot” letter campaign to friends and family will fund the programs and events for local kids provided and hosted directly by the Caleb Tate Fuller Foundation. Among these will be the Mad Cap Puppets, Mad Science, Darkness to Light child abuse prevention, Money Matters ten week financial literacy course for kids and college book scholarships for Norwood High School students. Also, new this year, scholarship applications will be accepted for any local Christian school grades K-12 and will be available directly to several local school financial aid offices as well as directly “on line” to any local family in need of assistance to send their kids to Christian school. Finally, we will wrap up the walking season on October 15th with the “Forget-Me-Knot” Ambassadors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s, “Cincinnati Walks”. These proceeds will be given directly to StarShine Hospice which serves children (and their families) who suffer from life threatening conditions.
Thank you very much for your kind support of our mission to serve children. Our commitment remains strong as we have reached our 5th year of preserving Caleb’s memory. Any contribution you can make through this year’s “Forget-Me-Knot” letter campaign is sincerely appreciated. As always, we welcome your input regarding helping to meet future needs for kids in the community.
Please consider joining us in any of these events as you are able. Again this year, you can send a photo and post a remembrance of a loved one through the walk in memory side bar on this website.
